Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd announces ₹15 Crore capacity expansion at Kurnool plant

  • Adds 14,000 MT capacity in Chlorinated Paraffins
  • Project to deliver ~₹100 crore in annual top-line revenue at full capacity, backed by strong off-take visibility

Leading specialty chemicals manufacturer Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd, a flagship company of the Shiva Group of Industries, announced a strategic capacity expansion of 14,000 MT at its flagship manufacturing facility in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The expansion, involving a capex of approximately ₹15 crore, focuses on scaling production within the company’s core Chlorinated Paraffins (CP) product category.

Commercial production from the expanded line is scheduled to commence by July 2028.

The decision to scale up follows sustained supply constraints, with Shivtek’s Kurnool facility operating at 100% capacity utilization. The expansion comes on the back of intense market demand across key industrial verticals, including PVC compounds, industrial coatings, flame retardants, and high-performance lubricants.

Speaking on the strategic expansion plans, Mr. Amitt Nenwani, Managing Director, Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd said, “Demand for specialized performance additives across India and global export markets is outpacing current supply allocations. Operating at peak utilization has given us a clear directive – our customers need scale, fast execution, and strict compliance. This ₹15 crore investment at Kurnool directly addresses our existing and potential order pipeline. Crucially, as we expand capacity, we are integrating zero-emission process technologies and energy-efficient manufacturing into the plant, ensuring that even our legacy product lines adhere to modern, sustainable operational standards.”

The new facility is projected to deliver an annual top-line revenue contribution of ~₹100 crore at full scale, generating high return on capital employed (ROCE) and driving margin efficiency.

This expansion forms a crucial component of Shivtek’s overarching growth trajectory, supporting India’s transition into a global specialty chemicals manufacturing hub. By enhancing domestic availability of high-grade Chlorinated Paraffins, Shivtek continues to align its portfolio with national import-substitution goals and supply-chain resilience.

With state-of-the-art facilities across Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, and Gujarat, Shivtek Spechemi remains an innovator in sustainable manufacturing. The Kurnool facility expansion will incorporate advanced eco-friendly process technologies, zero-emission standards, and strict environmental compliance, reinforcing Shivtek’s position as a preferred green-chemistry partner to global supply chains.
